Magdalena is a small-town theatre actress, playing unrecognisable roles. She travels to a nearby village to take care of her father-in-law, who has suffered a stroke. Due to a swine fever outbreak, the village has been blocked. After a long thought, she decides to save the pig, even though, if caught she will face a fine that she is unable to pay. On her journey to save the pig, Magdalena finds the empathy of people in unlikely places.

Magdalena é uma atriz de teatro de uma cidade pequena, que interpreta papéis irreconhecíveis. Ela viaja para uma vila próxima para cuidar de seu sogro, que sofreu um derrame. Devido a um surto de peste suína, a vila foi bloqueada. Depois de pensar muito, ela decide salvar o porco, embora, se for pega, ela enfrentará uma multa que não poderá pagar. Em sua jornada para salvar o porco, Magdalena encontra a empatia das pessoas em lugares improváveis.
